Simply put Grey Imports are any motorvehicles that were manufactured overseas and not intended for direct importation to Australia. This means they have different specifiations to the Australian Design Ruling ( ADR's).
Can you import any vehicle for the Australian Market without too many hassles ?
Importing vehicles is permitted in Australia, but certain criteria must be met, especially you intend to register the vehicle. Generally pre 1989 vehicles are abe to be imported with a prior import approval. Some models are on a register of approved vehicles and it us usually safe to keep to these models. If a vehicle is 'Grey' it need an engineers report to start the registrtion process whih can be costly.
Are your motorcycles passed for Australian registration purposes ?
We offer 'As Is' condition bikes straight off the boat. We can also arrange an engineer to inspect a bike for registration by appointment at owners cost.
Are parts easily available for these bikes?
We will stock most parts required to turn your stock Yamaha SR into a cafe racer. Most customers prefer to biuld their bike over time and the options for an SR are almost endless. Our policy is "If we don't have we can get it". Yamaha factory dealers will stock or source original parts also.
Do you have Learner Legal bikes available?
All our SR400 and 500's are learner legal in NSW.
